It is getting crunch time for First Time Home Buyers wanting to take advantage of $8000 tax credit.
Many buyers (whether wanting to buy this year or in the near future) are now wondering how they can repair their credit.
There are a few options available to you.
Here are a few quick things you can do to improve you score.
1. Write a letter to the credit reporting agencies stating that you want to opt out of all future credit card solicitations.
2. Don't let the balance on credit card get over 50 percent of the credit limit. (Meaning if you have a credit limit of $500 on your visa then keep the balance below $250)
3. Open a secured credit card and don't use it.
Some more options you have are to work with a lender that has the tools and knowledge necessary to guide you in the process. In the Huntersville NC and Charlotte areas, I call on Sherry Connor to assist my clients. Just click on the Get Prequalified for free link on the top right side of her website.

For those wanting to do the research many more tips to take care of things on their own at their own pace, we have two books that we recommend. Some of our clients have purchased these books and been able to repair things on their own.
